Michelle Marquis has spent more than three decades in tech-enabled hospitality — first as a property manager, then as a supplier, and now as one of the most trusted independent voices in the short-term rental industry. Originally from Lahaina, Hawaii, she built her career on instinct, persistence, and an unshakeable commitment to doing right by people.
She spent nearly a decade with Navis, helping shape how the STR industry thought about revenue and technology. Today she works as a fractional CRO and CPO, advising property managers on profitability and helping technology companies earn market trust, scale, and adoption. She serves as a board member and strategic advisor to STR startups — and she calls herself a ShortCut2$, because that's exactly what she delivers.
In 2025, she was recognized with the Pioneer Award at the Vacation Rental Women's Summit — an honor for those who have made foundational, lasting contributions to the vacation rental industry.
